Judy was inducted as a member of the club on 4th May 2004 and joined the club as an opportunity to become involved in hands-on service to the local community and as a way of getting to know new people. She lived in Toodyay, in country Western Australia for 9 years prior to moving back to Perth and was very involved wiht the local community. Rotary looked as though it could fill the gap.

In the time Judy has been a Rotarian, she has filled a number of roles including Director Community Service, Director Fundraising, Director Vocational Service and Director Club Service. She was President of the club for the 2012-13 Rotary year.

Judy has also served as an assistant governor for 3 years and the secretary of Rotary District 9455 for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 Rotary years.

Judy has a passion for projects that assist our local community and enviornment. She also sees great value in how our Australian dollars can make a huge difference in overseas communities, particularly in the water and sanitayion an health areas. She has been on two trips to Cambodia building houses for local people. Having a home that doesn't wash away in a flood increases a family's health, education and income...parents are healthy and are able to work, their children can be educated.

Judy worked in the energy industry for over 25 years in a variety of different roles including customer service and more recently as a systems tester at Synergy. She was also a Thermomix consultant for 5 years and curerently has a part time business with her sister, Jane O'Leary, also a member of our club introducing friends, family and others to cleaning without chemicals with Norwex products.

Judy has 2 adult children and 7 grandchildren who keep her very busy.

She and her partner Peter enjoy travelling both overseas and within Australia.
