Nick Bucknell was sponsored by Rotary to attend the National Youth Science Forum held in Canberra recently.

The forum provides a tremendous opportunity for young people to discover what scientists in Australia are currently doing. Universities from all the states were represented and gave talks on what they had to offer.

He met the Governor General and a number of scientists while at the forum and was exposed to debates on various subjects.

Students from other countries also attended and Nick made friends with a student from Canada, which shows how well this program is publicised and respected.

He went to the morgue and from the video he showed of his colleagues obviously enjoyed the many social activities.

Nick wants to study medicine and this forum confirmed this professional direction.
